Cardinal is pleased to present a gentle synthesis, a solo show of the work of Suldano Abdiruhman. The artist is a 2018 graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, a member of the Black feminist collective BALTI GURLS, and co-founder of 4C Gallery. For Abdiruhman, this exhibition is “a culmination of slow and humble beginnings, material explorations, and linguistic discoveries. Through the gathering and repurposing of bed sheets, dictionaries, field recordings, crayons, and common building materials, a surprising and cartographic language emerges and evolves.”
